Guide: How to install Sick Beard The Piratebay on Synology..

If you've made an extra_script, made a 3rd party tool, or just added some functionality in a fork you can post about it here.

Hello all,

I seem to be getting several errors again and am wondering if anyone has advice on how to do a complete uninstall so i can re install everything. In the past I have simply deleted the sickbeard folder in the app directory however that doesn't seem to have completely removed everything as i still have issues after the re install.

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

At SynoCommunity, a new SPK will allow you to install the fork of your choice.
http://www.synocommunity.com/packages#sickbeard-custom

Available soon.

I just used the new Sickbeard custom installer and it took a moment for me to figure out what the installer was looking for as well. In the end i found that the first URL it's looking for can be found here. https://github.com/mr-orange/Sick-Beard by clicking GIT read-only which is git://github.com/mr-orange/Sick-Beard.git

The second branch part can also be found here by clicking the branches tab. It lists ThePirateBay and Pistachitos. I just put in ThePirateBay and it seemed to work.

Hope that helps.

Hello,

I found on the config page the default GIT URL, but the page is read only, so can't modify it to the desired GIT fork.
I'l try to do the same as i did for CouchPotato:
- Stop the service
- Erase the SB directory, than copy via ssh a copy of newest desired GIT's fork

Worked fine for CP, should rocks as well for SB ... :P

Worked fine for me.
At the end of procedure, i figured to check which spk was updated to restart it: It was the standard instead of the custom lol

FYI, i use the fork from mozvip, which is fine for me ...

I'd like now to do a proper install with the SB custom, without loosing the DB nor the config.
Could you give me help on files to save thus restore please?

BR

Edit: I found a .db in the var subdir. Is it the only file to save restore to the proper target sub directory?

Hello,

Never mind my previous post: I did a proper install from SB custom, than added all existing shows, than added new ones.
I did install Transmission package because DL Station isn't available in downloaders list ... (why, because it is listed in couchpotato ...).

BR
