Guide: How to install Sick Beard The Piratebay on Synology..

If you've made an extra_script, made a 3rd party tool, or just added some functionality in a fork you can post about it here.

Hello,

http://thepiratebay.se/search/Doctor.Wh ... 7C/0/7/200

qui se traduit donc en :
http://thepiratebay.se/search/Doctor.Who.2005 S05E11|5x11|05x11|/0/7/200

et il me semble que le dernier "|" est en trop. en effet la recherche cherche donc :
- Doctor.Who.2005 S05E11
- Doctor.Who.2005 5x11
- Doctor.Who.2005 05x11
- Doctor.Who.2005

evidement Doctor.Who.2005 renvoi plus de resultat mais evidement pas le bon episode :(
est ce que je me trompe ?

autre question bonus :
y a t il un moyen de rajouter une icone dans le menu du syno ?

Hi,

Im having a problem with the update, Im kind of new to all of this. I tried to use the automated update in the program and I had a failure with my git path. i made the modification in the config.ini but continued to have the same issue.

I looked to see how to update from the command line and it seems git pull is the correct command to do this but when I try that I get:

DiskStation> git pull
remote: Counting objects: 40, done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (8/8), done.
remote: Total 21 (delta 14), reused 18 (delta 11)
Unpacking objects: 100% (21/21), done.
From git://github.com/mr-orange/Sick-Beard
bb21187..5650f32 ThePirateBay -> origin/ThePirateBay
ce2f524..afd55a1 Pistachitos -> origin/Pistachitos
/opt/libexec/git-core/git-pull: line 245: tr: not found
Your configuration specifies to merge with the ref 'ThePirateBay'
from the remote, but no such ref was fetched.

Any help with this would be appreciated, this has really made my life easier.

Cheers,

Rizz

hello guys,

I have and issue when I try to make Sick Beard start on boot.
I don't have any startupscript in the route /usr/syno/etc/rc.d/ can you share this script please, because I think that is the reason for the Sick Beard doesn't run when I reboot my DS413.

Thanks.

I want to add an observation for the manual:
If your system doen't recognize the command python is because you have different kinds of version installed then you have to put python2.6 instead python, for example in the sentence:
/volume1/@appstore/sickbeard/SickBeard.py
you have to put:
python2.6 /volume1/@appstore/sickbeard/SickBeard.py

it works fine in my case.

Thank you very much for this guide, it's exactly what I have been looking for. Having an issue though that I am hoping you can help me with:

I am using the Python package from the SynoCommunity source (version 2.7.3 including Cheetah 2.4.4), so I skipped the parts about installing Python and Cheetah in your guide. After following everything else just as listed however, when I try to run the SickBeard.py --daemon it returns:

env: python: No such file or directory

This is odd since even if I open up the File Manager in my DSM and navigate to the proper location I can clearly see the SickBeard.py file sitting right there, so i'm not sure why it isn't able to locate and run it. Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks!

I just made the mistake of hitting the update button to run the latest DSM update and it seems every time i run the DSM update I have to go through this process to re install sick beard to get it working again. However this time when I try to start the deamon with
Code: Select all
/volume1/@appstore/sickbeard/SickBeard.py --daemon
i get a permission denied error. It looks like the SickBeard.py file was created without execute permissions.
Code: Select all
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 11847 Feb  4 12:10 SickBeard.py

To get the installer to run again i simply did a rm -r on the sickbeard folder in the @appstore directory. not sure if I need to do something else to "un install" it.

EDIT: Well I found a different post and was able to get it started by running
Code: Select all
/usr/local/python/bin/python2.7 /volume1/@appstore/sickbeard/SickBeard.py --daemon

I've installed Sick Beard ThePirateBay (from a source) and Transmission (from a source).
Both run and that's no problem. But I can't get Sick Beard to connect to Transmission.

I can't get the Android transmission remote to connect either so my guess is that it's Transmission that's not working correctly with the RPC settings.

First I got error with username and password, when I fixed that I get this error:
Code: Select all
"Error: Unable to get Transmission Authentication, check your config!"

This is my Transmission config:

If you want to use the Package Center on DSM, then add http://synology.mdevries.org/spkrepo/packages as repository.
