If you've made an extra_script, made a 3rd party tool, or just added some functionality in a fork you can post about it here.

As shown in original post mode for listed directory is 777. Are there others I should look at?

Secondly, I plan to seed files on my box as long as they are on the machine. Would it work to create soft links instead of hard links so that once the files are deleted in ruTorrent, they will be fully deleted and the space will free up, while still following this tutorial?

I came to ask the same thing. I've been deleting files in rutorrent and have only just realised it doesn't delete both hard links, which means my harddrive is filling up. It'll take me forever to go through manually...

If possible, a cron script that checks if the /TV Shows/Firefly/whatever.mkv file exists in /downloads could be an option, but then we have the problem of file renaming.

Hopefully someone can come up with a solution.

Any ideas?

hello everyone,

First of all, thaks a lot for this tutorial, it's awesome.

I followed the tutorial and everything is ok except one thing.
When I search an episode, SB snatch it, the torrent file is downloaded in the /watch/tv/sickbeard folder but 2 second after the torrent file gets a ".fail" extension

Note that this is not something SB does.
Best is to ask around in the rtorrent forum

Did you set this up on a Mac by chance? Include more info.

You could just set the autotools option to Soft Link rather than Hard Link. That way sickbeard is processing the sym link and rutorrent is still seeding the actual file. When rutorrent deletes the file the data is actually freed up and the sym link will be broken. This will leave all the broken sym links where sickbeard placed them, but the space will be freed up.

Thanks for taking the time to write the guide :)

I have followed the guide through to the end but AutoMove doesn't want to work for me.

I enabled logging for AutoTools. It seems to fire automove but it doesn't do anything:

Any ideas where I could have gone wrong?

Sorry, scrap that. I had edited the move.php file some time ago to only move a given label and had completely forgotten about it - d'oh!
