Hi Junalmeida,

thanks for you effort with this branch of sickbeard, it works great. Any change to add other subtitles finders? (like opensubtitles, subdivx,, would be great.

Okay, what would be best way to go about transition from TPB version to this one without loosing any of my shows? I know I need to backup the database and such, but I have no idea where it is located. I am using a synology DS112, not sure if that changes anything, and I had used the Sickbeard Custom to install the TPB branch. Thank you :)

Really cannot find a solution to the problem i am having hopeing someone can help

I am trying to install SickBeard on my WD My Book Live but i am stuck with one problem i run the following to run sickbeard

/opt/bin/python2.7 /shares/Public/Software/SickBeard/
and it then says
The Python module Cheetah is required

I can run SickBeard with python 2.5 and 2.6 fine but I am trying to use the torrent edition
which needs python 2.7

I have done this from default root directory but did not work same issue

wget ... 4.4.tar.gz
tar -zxvf Cheetah-2.4.4.tar.gz
cd Cheetah-2.4.4
python install

Just wanted to chime in and say that this fork is working beautifully for me. Thank you for all of your hard work and hopefully this version will last a good long time! :)

Also adding my 5 cents to say thanks.
I switched to Mr Orange's versions - for subtitles and torrents (for when nzb's failed).
Once Mr Orange pulled out, I switched to SickRage as he had recommended.
Unfortunately, SickRage is just too buggy and I was resigning myself to having to get subtitles manually.

Your branch is like fresh mountain air - it has my two must-have features, it is quick and I haven't had a failed nzb in the last 3 days since setting it up.
Great work and thanks for your efforts.

My two suggestions would be:
  • to implement failed download handling, if it's possible
  • to add a little bling
By "bling", I mean such items as:
  • banner / poster views in the show list and show pages
  • links on the show pages to sites such as TVDB, IMDB, TV Rage, Rotten Tomatoes, etc.

Quality - by default I guess - is set to 1080. However, I would like this version to also download the torrent with lower or unknown quality. Is that possible? I remember that for the regular SB it was an option.

Installed junalmedia fork, working perfectly from public torrent sources.

Never misses a beat compared to constantly missing episodes on official SB.

KickAss updated their URL ending from '.to' to '.so' and now it's giving an error when looking at that RSS search, I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to just go into a config file and change that?
I looked around but couldn't find anything other that login details that you put in the config file.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

Same here.

TPB is down. Kickass is not working probably due to domain change...

All the other providers require user accounts, and the custom made RSS feed do not provide backlog search. So everything is on hold right now.

Thanks for any help!
