What is the difference between installing/running from source (Master branch) versus installing/running from the windows binary?
I have to assume running from source gives you the option to run say from the development branch versus the master branch, which you would not be able to do if you installed via the windows binary.

So my confusion is I cant find any instructions after one installs from source, HOW TO run from another branch (I am interested in running the development branch).

Instruction's on how to do so from windows would be very helpful. Initially how to set that up, how to copy over your current DB to this installation, how to pull updates, etc...

Hope this makes my question clearer. Thanks.

Thanks for the guide everything worked 100%

Only problem I ran into was during post processing. For my test I downloaded an episode of Survivor. the .torrent created a subfolder in my Torrent Downloads folder.

Am I correct in thinking that since SickBeard post processing won't work on this episode because the subfolder isn't the folder pointed to in the post processing options?

R. master branch: last updates. Windows binary: last update was Dec/31/2012

R. I only download the master branch as a ZIP and runned with pythonw.exe (open .PY files with pythonw.exe)

So my confusion is I cant find any instructions after one installs from source, HOW TO run from another branch (I am interested in running the development branch).
R. Don't know that

Instruction's on how to do so from windows would be very helpful. Initially how to set that up, how to copy over your current DB to this installation, how to pull updates, etc...
R. I just backup the sickbeard.db and config.ini files. I have 3 sickbeard installed on my windows (original, piratebay branch and pistachitos branch). Copied my db and config files to the respective folder.

.

Hope that helped

I followed the instructions, but for some reason the episodes, after getting downloaded in the C:\Users\*****\Downloads folder, are not automatically processed into the folder i have specified. Any ideas?

@user136

You are doing something wrong.... that variable (USE_LIBTORRENT) does not exist in my fork but exist in bricky fork....
You need to start from a fresh installation in a new dir and retry.
