@plainzwaler ,

You are missing the important part in settings.json :

Code: Select all
Linux and Headless Installations (transmission-daemon)

On linux systems you will need to edit settings.json. This is usually located in '/etc/transmission-daemon/settings.json' but it depends on the installation. Under Ubuntu it can be found at ~/.config/transmission-daemon/settings.json.

Make sure you edit while the daemon is not running.

i. Set the TorrentToMedia.py script to run after completion of a torrent

"script-torrent-done-enabled": true,
"script-torrent-done-filename": "/usr/local/nzbToMedia/TorrentToMedia.py",
NL newsserver starting €44,40 a year

Same question here. tried to add the ' tv-show' RSS-feed
Code: Select all
https://www.demonoid.ph/rss/3.xml
, but I get the following error message:

Torrent link is not a valid torrent file: not a valid bencoded string

Anybody know how to add Demonoid?

Okay, I have found and edited all settings.json on the system. Something still doesn't seem to be right. Is there a log for Transmission that I can find?

Ofcourse make sure that you set the right path to your nzbtomedia script folder.
Have a look at the transmission start scriot , this should tell you where the logfile is.
On my QNAP NAS it is under : /web-gui/admin/logs/transmission.log

Look for something like :

Code: Select all
[02:05:43.859] NAME.OF.SHOW Calling script "/share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/Transmission/scripts/run_scripts.sh" (torrent.c:2111)
NL newsserver starting €44,40 a year

You would need to actually code it properly, because their feed isnt actually structured that kind of behaviour... For the basic custom RSS feed to work, the feed needs to have a Title element, that corresponds to the filename, and a link element that corresponds to the url of the torrent file... Demonoid does neither of these things and instead, does a title based on the title of the post on the tracker, which can be something completely diffrent than the name of the file, and almost never the scene name that Sickbeard would expect so basicly one has to create a _get_title_and_url function in the provider, that rather than just read the feed params, instead open the link, and parse the html page for the real link to the torrent, and the filename. That will create reading and parsing a html doc for each and every file in their feed, which is generally considered bad behaviour so it's not recommended to make a feed for demonoid until they change their rss feed.

Well, I gave up on trying to get it to work, unless there is an alternative to Transmission that works properly. For whatever reason Synology decided to do everything backwards with how they have packages install.

Thank you all for the help.
